Choosing The Right Partner

There are a ton of Salesforce consultants. 2,178 (to be exact) are listed on the AppExchange. If you find yourself in the market for a Salesforce consultant, where should you begin?

Below are four tips on selecting the right partner as well as the questions you should ask.

Use Case

Do you have other clients in the (insert industry)? Have you worked in the (insert industry)?

Choosing a partner with industry experience not only creates a better partnership but can save your company a significant amount of money. Rather than having to explain the competitive landscape, business use cases, the consultant can come to the table with industry knowledge and understanding to drive your company forward.

Salesforce Experience

Do you hold any Salesforce certifications? Tell me about the type of experience you (or the team) has with Salesforce?

Don’t let the number of certifications fool you! While Salesforce certifications are valuable and provide validation, larger Salesforce consultancies are often ranked by the number of certified staff, not by years of hands-on experience. You certainly want a partner who has diverse hands-on experience to make an impact quickly.

Customer Service

How do we ensure we are a valued client?

At Hazen Consulting, we pride ourselves on a high-touch customer experience. We build relationships with our clients, turning short-term engagements into lasting partnerships. Just because you implement Salesforce does not mean you should stop investing.

Scope of Work

How does the partnership/engagement work? What if our scope changes?

Your business is evolving rapidly, and what you need today may change tomorrow. Partnering with smaller firms allows for the engagement to be as nimble or as structured as you like. At the end of the day, a good partner wants to see their client succeed.
